2-6.   Operating Procedures - Continued c. Flying/Controlling Drop from Ground-Based T/C - Continued NOTE ALL LANDINGS SHOULD BE INTO THE WIND. (6) When the  system is approximately 50 feet (15 m) from the ground, press  the  50%  or  100%  BRAKING  switch  (8)  to  initiate  a  "flared" landing.  A "flare" produces the slowest forward speed and slowest rate of descent possible. NOTE Manual  control  from  the  ground  can  also  be  accomplished using  the  external  control  switch  assembly  if  the  T/C  rotary switch (1) is placed in the EXT position. CAUTION With  some  loads,  the  100%  braking  configuration  stalls  and possibly  imitates  reverse  flight.    Use  caution  and  be  ready  to transition    to    a    lesser    braking    configuration    if    stalls    are encountered, as rate of descent would be excessive. 2-52
