a. Repair. Stitch and restitch with thread, nylon, same size and contrasting color to the original stitching,
when possible. Lock stitching.
b. Replacement. Replace as follows.
(1) Cut a 5-inch length of 9/16-inch-wide type I nylon webbing. Fold webbing in half, cut free ends on a
45-degree bias, and sear ends.
(2) Position canopy on repair table, with V-portion of damaged tab up (figure 2-89).
(3) Mark suspension line at point where it crosses lower edge of lower lateral band.
