REPAIR
1. Stitching. Stitch and restitch with size 6 nylon thread that matches the color of the original stitching,
when possible. Lock all straight stitching by backstitching at least ½-inch. Restitch by overstitching each
end of the stitch formation by ½-inch. Restitch directly over the original stitching, following the original
stitch pattern as closely as possible. Stitch 5 to 8 stitches per inch, using a heavy-duty sewing machine.
2. Restencil. As required, restencil identification marks using procedures, tools, and materials and parts
identified in WP 0014 00, MARKING AND RESTENCILLING.
