SCOPE
This Technical Manual provides Unit and Direct Support (DS) maintenance instructions for parachutes,
NSN 1670-01-298-9502, and NSN 1670-01-484-2234. These are 35-Foot Diameter Troop Back
Parachutes. This manual also provides a Repair Parts and Special Tools List, located in WP 0039 00.
Equipment Name. T-10C Troop Back Parachute Assembly, 35-Foot Diameter, and T-10D Troop Back
Parachute Assembly, 35-Foot Diameter.
Purpose of Equipment. The parachute provides capability to safely deliver an airborne soldier and
individual equipment, from an aircraft in flight, for a vertical assault on an enemy.
