(8) Remove tapered cord end from splicing aid and while holding alined 3- and 5-inch marks together, stretch
cord length to allow tapered cord end to recede inside cord casing.
(9) Secure formed safety cord end loop by stitching a 3116-inch-wide by 3-inch-long row of double-throw zigzag
stitching 7 to 11 stitches per inch using size E nylon thread (figure 2-66).
(10) Mark and attach cord running end to opposite bottom bag closing loop using procedures In (3) through (9)
above.
