NOTE
Replacement of a gore panel is accomplished at the Intermediate (DS)
maintenance level only, in accordance with the Maintenance Allocation
Chart (MAC), Appendix B.

Repair.

Restitching. Stitching and restitching made on parachute canopies should be accomplished with size E
nylon thread that is contrasting in color to the fabric being stitched or the original thread being restitched. If contrasting
color thread is not available, thread of matching color may be used, providing all other specifications are met. Straight
stitching and restitching should be locked by at least two inches at each end of a stitch row, when possible. Restitch
directly over the original stitching and follow the original stitch pattern as closely as possible.
