(2) To patch a lined portion of the container when the felt is damaged, remove the damaged felt as described
in (3) below. Cut a piece of felt the same size as the piece removed, and position felt plug and cotton duck patch (with
edges turned under 1/2 inch) over damaged area. Sew a single box X stitch formation as shown.
(3) To plug the felt lining of the container, mark a rectangle around the damaged area. Remove the
damaged felt while being careful not to damage the nylon duck material. Cut a piece of felt the size of the piece
removed. Position felt plug into area cleared and sew as shown.
