Equipment Not Ready/Available If. A brief statement of the condition (EQUIPMENT NOT
READY/AVAILABLE IF) (e.g., malfunction, shortage) that would cause the equipment to be less than fully
ready to perform its assigned mission shall be provided.
Recording Defects. All defects discovered during the inspection will be recorded using the applicable
specifics in DA Pamphlet 738-750.
Inspection Function Requirement. Normally, air delivery equipment maintenance personnel at a
rigging activity will perform a technical/rigger-type inspection. The inspection of initial receipt items will be
performed as a separate function from the rigging activity; the item to be inspected will be placed in a
suitable sized floor area. Should defect or damage be discovered at any point during the inspection, the
inspection will be terminated and the applicable item will be repaired.

terminated and the applicable item will be processed and forwarded to repair activity. The repair activity,
in turn, will conduct a technical/rigger-type inspection that will be performed by only those parachute
rigger personnel cited in AR 750-32.
CHECK AND SERVICES
Table 1 contains a tabulated listing of organizational preventive maintenance checks and services, which
must be performed by a qualified rigger.

Never walk or crawl beneath raised platforms. Failure to heed this
warning may cause serious injury to personnel.

Use extreme care when lifting or handling platforms. The type V
platform weighs approximately 100-pounds per foot of length and
the dual row platform weighs approximately 89-pounds per foot of
length. Failure to heed this warning may cause serious injury to
personnel.

Use proper equipment for lifting and supporting platforms. Failure
to do so may cause serious injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Use care not to damage the side rail notches when turning the
platform over.
